Evolving government legislation brings about a regulated and more safety conscious approach to the domestic electrics industry.

This has led us to adopt an ethic of continuous professional development ensuring we stay in line with NICEIC regulation. This ethic also ensures our experience and knowledge grows with our business and in turn, you the consumer will continue to be served by extremely good electrical contractors.

However although we may be regulated for technical competence, unfortunately there's no governing body we can be accredited to for our helpful & communicative nature. We recognise the uncertainty of inviting new tradesmen into your home and the concern of being intimidated by baffling industry jargon & technical terms.

We will do our utmost to explain our technical intentions in as clear a way as possible,

and if we're not, we encourage you to ask, ask and ask again until you're in complete understanding of any work you may like us to proceed with. You can expect this of all Live Electrics personnel from apprentice to master electrician. We aim to be a company you want to recommend.

We also take inspiration from the Electrical Safety Council. They're an independent charity committed to reducing deaths and injuries through electrical accidents at home and at work.

We recognise their achievements, share their beliefs and seek to promote their messages. Click on their logo throughout our website to take you to their website.

Oh, just to add, we always turn up when we say we will, our advice comes for free and we clean up after ourselves too

Of all the abbreviations likely to surface in a conversation about household electrics (most of which you'll find an explanation for in our Jargon Buster) NICEIC is possibly the most important. It stands for the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors. These initials are your guarantee of professional competence and excellence.

It's not a trumped up 'guild' that anyone can throw money at to become a member. NICEIC is the industry's independent voluntary body, set to regulate electrical installations. A contractor can only carry the NICEIC logo after qualifying and registering.

We're Part P approved, which means we're authorised by NICEIC to carry out domestic electrical work in line with government law passed on the 1st January 2005.
