Of all the abbreviations likely to surface in a conversation about household electrics (most of which you’ll find an explanation for in our Jargon Buster) NICEIC is possibly the most important. It stands for the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors. These initials are your guarantee of professional competence and excellence.
It’s not a trumped up ‘guild’ that anyone can throw money at to become a member. NICEIC is the industry’s independent voluntary body, set to regulate electrical installations. A contractor can only carry the NICEIC logo after qualifying and registering.
Most recently we’ve been certified by City and Guilds a Level 3 Award in Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation. So, if you’re thinking about buying an electric vehicle or you own a business and want to supply charging points for employees, get in contact with us!
We’re also Part P approved, which means we’re authorised by NICEIC to carry out domestic electrical work in line with government law passed on the 1st January 2005.
